The Hartford Colonials played in the United Football League in 2010 after moving from New York City where they were known as the Sentinels. They played only one season in Hartford, folding just before the start of the 2011 campaign.

The Cincinnati Commandos were an indoor football team that played in the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) in 2010 and 2011. Their home field was the??Cincinnati Gardens. In 2012 they moved to the United Indoor Football League (UIFL). They suspended operations in 2013.
