New Orleans Sun Belt Nets

The Nets began their journey as a charter member??World Team Tennis??(WTT)??that began in 1974. The franchise was originally awarded to Bill DeWitt Jr., who planned to place the team in Cincinnati, where he already owned the Stingers of the WHA. Before the start of the season. though, he sold the team to Cleveland interests who named the team the Nets. The club later split time between Cleveland and Pittsburgh before winding up in Louisiana for what would be WTT's final season. Their home court was the Superdome.
