In April of 1971, real estate agents Bob McDonald and Jim Youngren erected a billboard just outside of Seattle-Tacoma International Aiport during a breif economic downturn for the area. It read, "will the last person leaving Seattle turn out the lights." Though it was only up for 15 days, its memory lives on.
