The Palace of Auburn Hills

Opened in 1988, The Palace of Auburn Hills was a multi-purpose arena that hosted concerts and other events and was home to several sports teams including the basketball's Detroit Pistons and hockey's Detroit Vipers. The Pistons left in 2017 and though the building was still viable, its location in the northern suburbs proved to be a liability. It was closed later that year and demolished in 2020.
