The Tampa Bay Mutiny were charter members of MLS and took the field for the league's inaugural season in 1996. The team was owned by the league and at first was quiet successful both on the pitch and at the gate. However, onerous lease terms at Raymond James Stadium deterred local ownership interests and the team was contracted, along with the Miami Fusion, in 2001.
The sweatshirt is great, but the image on the website needs to be updated. A short sleeved shirt is shown and I think that led to confusion with my initial order.
