Penny Whistle Park became a favorite Dallas attraction shortly after it opened on 1967. An indoor amusement park, it was located at 10717 E. Northwest Highway and Plano Road. Among its many rides and attractions were an aluminum merry-go-round, a ladybug ride, a ball crawl complex and an Ottaway steam train. It closed in 1995 and is now the site of a soccer facility.??
