The Las Vegas Gamblers were the valley's first pro hockey team and were members of the Pacific Southwest Hockey League (PSHL) from 1968 to 1971. Their home ice was the a place called the International Ice Palace, a venue that was in a strip mall on East Sarah Blvd., just east of the Sarah Hotel.
