Las Vegas Cowboys

The Las Vegas Cowboys played in the Continental Football League (CoFL) in 1968 and 1969. They started in Illinois in 1965 as the Rock Island Raiders in the Professional Football League of America. They became the Quad City Raiders in 1966. In 1968, they joined the CoFL. Halfway through the season, they headed to the Las Vegas Valley. Their homefield was Cashman Field, the city's old baseball park, which is now a soccer stadium. The Cowboys folded after the 1969 season, along with the rest of the CoFL.
