Las Vegas 51s

The AAA Las Vegas Stars were stablished in 1983 when the Spokane Indians moved to the Las Vegas Valley. The team was previously known as the Portland Beavers from 1919 to 1973. From their arrival in the valley until 2000, they were an affiliate of San Diego's baseball team. The team changed its name to the??51s??in 2001, in honor of nearby Area 51 and became the top farm team of Los Angeles (NL). In 2018, the name was changed to the current moniker, the Aviators.
