Ken Stabler was a star pro football quarterback who played college ball in his home state at Alabama. His nick name was The Snake, After being drafted by Oakland, he played minor league football for the Spokane Shock of the Continental Football League for the 1968 season. After a year off, he returned to Oakland in 1970 and led the team to the "Big Game" in 1977. He subsequently played for Houston and New Orleans. While with Houston, he lent his name to a product called Ken Stabler's Snake Venom Cola.
