The Fresno Falcons were a minor league hockey team founded in 1946. The played in several leagues over the years but spent most of their existence in the played in the Pacific Southwest Hockey League (1972-1995). They joined the West Coast Hockey League (WCHL) in 1995. From 2002 to 2006, they were a farm team of the San Jose Sharks. For the 2008/2009 season they were affiliated with the Chicago Blackhawks. When the WCHL folded, several of its teams joined the East Coast Hockey League, including the Falcons. The team folded in shortly after the start of the 2008/2009 season.
