The 1984 Louisiana World Exposition was a World's Fair held in New Orleans from May 12 to November 11, 1984. Its theme was "The World of Rivers—Fresh Waters as a Source of Life." Staged just two years after the World's Fair in Knoxville, TN, the Louisiana World Exposition declared bankruptcy due to low attendance. There hasn't been a World's Fair held in the United States since.
