Baltimore Stallions

Size Guide
Remember this championship team? When the Canadian Football League (CFL) decided to add teams in the U.S. in the early 1990s, Jim Speros acquired one for Baltimore. Abandoned by the NFL Colts in 1984 and passed over for expansion in 1993 when the Bombers failed to take flight, the city embraced the CFL squad. An injunction kept them from being called the Colts and after a legal battle the NFL agreed to let them use the name Stallions, which was the name of a proposed expansion team in St. Louis. The Baltimore Stallions won the Grey Cup (the CFL title) in 1995, the only American team ever to do so. The following year, with the arrival of the Ravens (the former Cleveland Browns), the team moved to Montreal to become the latest incarnation of the Alouettes.
