Roger Brown played nearly eight seasons of pro basketball, all of them in the American Basketball Association (ABA). Brown had committed to playing college ball at Dayton in 1960 but was banned from college and pro basketball because he had briefly met a gambler. He was never accused of wrong doing, his only infraction was meeting the gambler. The ABA had no qualms about Brown and he joined the Indiana franchise for the league's inaugural season (1967). He also played for the Memphis Sounds and Utah Stars before returning to Indiana in 1975.
